Monica Mamudo

Monica Mamudo uses social media as a meaningful forum to honor the customs and complexities of Brazilian culture. As an expat in America, Monica switches between English and Portuguese in posts to give vital representation to her roots and an avenue for Latinx followers to connect. Her zesty personality and tell-it-like-it-is realness instantly resonated on TikTok. Now Monica lives the Los Angeles dream, partnering with luxury brands like Saint Laurent, getting invited to world premieres, and walking red carpets in scene-stealing dresses that harken back to her home country, one of the most vibrant places on earth. Monica has become known as the internet’s “Brazilian big sister,” and her community calls her “Momo.” On top of all of her achievements, Momo was also the first Brazilian digital content creator in the US to speak at VidCon and in 2021, she was named a “Latinx Trailblazer” by TikTok.
