Tom Wait

Tom Wait is the Political Reporter and Contributing Correspondent to CBS News. He joined KCBS KCAL News in March 2013 as a general assignment reporter. Aside from politics, Tom covers the Los Angeles metro area. A Southern California native, Tom worked in New York City, Detroit and Kansas City, Missouri. Tom is originally from Claremont, California.

During his career, Tom has covered numerous major news events. He began his career at News 12 The Bronx and News 12 Brooklyn in 2003. After several years in New York, Tom joined the CBS station in Kansas City, where he covered the largest tornado to ever touch down in Kansas. After leaving Kanas City, he worked at the ABC station in Detroit where he covered the collapse and recovery of the auto industry.

Tom is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley and he has a Master's in Journalism from New York University.
